Senior Sales Engineer, Enterprise – German Speaking

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential data infrastructure client seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to support their Enterprise sales team across EMEA. In this remote role, you will partner closely with sales representatives to understand complex business requirements and demonstrate how automated data solutions deliver measurable outcomes for large organizations.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Engaging with Enterprise customers to uncover their business challenges, use cases, and data integration requirements
• Developing and delivering technical presentations to audiences ranging from engineers to C-level executives
• Leading structured proof-of-value processes to ensure technical wins throughout the sales cycle
• Collaborating across multiple cross-functional teams to drive product improvements and organizational change
• Supporting several sales representatives simultaneously while maintaining exceptional customer focus and technical rigor
• Keeping current with emerging technologies and industry trends in data analytics and cloud infrastructure
• Mentoring team members through advanced technical or business challenges

You'll work with technologies including AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, New Relic, Linux, Windows, Python, and Java.

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Native or professional proficiency in German
• 5+ years of experience in data replication, sales engineering, or a related technical field
• Strong technical foundation covering database replication, cloud infrastructure, and data integration technologies with hands-on experience
• Familiarity with modern data analytics technologies including cloud data warehouses, transformation tooling, data catalogs, and BI platforms
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with skill in explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, and NoSQL databases
• Hands-on experience with data replication or ETL tools
• Experience with self-hosted software applications and supporting infrastructure
• Practical networking experience in both cloud and on-premise environments

Bonus qualifications:

• Experience developing partner relationships
• Specialized expertise in security posture
• Experience with both self-hosted and SaaS software applications
• Hands-on experience with data transformation tooling
• Docker/Podman/Kubernetes experience
