Senior Credit Risk Manager, Credit Platform

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Senior Credit Risk Manager to lead their Credit Platform team. In this role, you will:

• Define and execute the roadmap for shared credit infrastructure that enables product teams to develop, evaluate, and deploy lending strategies across retail and business lending products in the UK and international markets
• Lead the evolution of credit valuation infrastructure, including NPV modelling frameworks, ensuring scalability and reliability for optimizing lending economics
• Hire, coach, and develop a team of five Credit Analysts, fostering technical excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement while delivering platform capabilities with broad organizational impact
• Collaborate closely with Credit, Engineering, Product, Machine Learning, Data, and Risk teams to build platform capabilities that accelerate experimentation and improve credit decisioning speed and quality
• Serve as a technical leader, translating complex concepts into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders and shaping the future direction of the lending platform

What We're Looking For

Our client needs someone who brings both technical depth and strategic vision to credit risk management:

• Extensive unsecured lending experience with a proven track record as a technical and strategic credit leader
• Deep understanding of lending economics, particularly NPV modelling and the infrastructure that enables effective credit decisioning
• Strong technical and analytical capabilities, with SQL as a must-have skill; Python and Looker experience are highly valued
• Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to partner effectively with Engineering, Product, Risk, Machine Learning, and Credit teams
• Proven people leadership, with a track record of developing analytical talent and building high-performing teams
• Comfort with ambiguity and fast-paced environments, including designing frameworks from scratch and delivering meaningful organizational change
