Senior Security Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join their security team in Paris. This is a high-impact role within a research and development organization of approximately 50 technical professionals. You'll work closely with cloud infrastructure and software engineering teams to build secure, scalable systems.

The security team is small but mighty—just 2 people currently—and you'll bring deep cloud security expertise, particularly in AWS environments. This role offers strong ownership and the chance to shape security practices across the entire technology stack, from internal infrastructure to customer-facing SaaS products.

Responsibilities

• Integrate security practices throughout the complete lifecycle of cloud infrastructure and internal platforms, as well as SaaS products
• Contribute to developing a robust security architecture aligned with zero trust principles
• Strengthen cloud security (AWS, on-premises), participate in infrastructure hardening, advanced threat protection, and secure SaaS design
• Build and operate security strategies for AI usage and technologies within the organization
• Ensure maintainability and scalability of security components while promoting state-of-the-art best practices
• Collaborate with software engineers, infrastructure teams, and product to build secure-by-design products and services
• Construct an effective incident response strategy using modern alerting and detection systems; remediate and mitigate security issues with the infrastructure team
• Advance the security team's capabilities by leveraging agentic AI to automate repetitive tasks (alerts, triage, reporting)
• Serve as an active member of the security guild
• Manage bug bounty programs

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Autonomous with strong ownership mentality; capable of leading cross-functional projects
• Significant experience in cloud infrastructure security: systems, networking, and specifically AWS
• Strong understanding of security in distributed systems at scale
• Solid knowledge of IAM management on cloud providers (AWS, Auth0)
• Proficiency in one or more languages from the tech stack: AWS, Terraform, Zero Trust tools (Okta, Teleport), SSLDC, SIEM
• Interest in the open-source ecosystem and monitoring
• Passion for innovating and evolving platform architectures toward greater scalability
• Desire to be an active member of a diverse engineering team composed of security engineers, software engineers, DevOps, and SREs
• French language proficiency for this Paris-based role

Preferred qualifications:

• Skills or experience in corporate IT security (SSO/IAM, EDR, MDM)
• Appreciation for open-source culture
• Sensitivity to user experience (performance, ergonomics, usability)
