Implementation Manager I – UK & Nordics

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech client seeking an Implementation Manager to join their UK and Nordics team in London. This is a newly formed function expanding into new markets, offering genuine influence over how the role and its processes take shape.

In this position, you'll own the post-sales integration phase for the organization's largest and most complex deals, taking full responsibility from contract signature through go-live and handover. You'll act as the central point of contact for merchants and every internal team involved, coordinating across sales, engineering, onboarding, compliance, and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the post-sales integration phase for large, complex deals from handover through testing to go-live
• Run kickoffs with internal and external stakeholders, establishing go-live dates and maintaining progress tracking
• Organize and track testing processes, raising issues and feedback as they emerge
• Coordinate across multiple departments and with merchants directly to ensure alignment
• Keep agreed go-live dates on track, as delays directly impact revenue
• Maintain documentation and playbooks that make delivery predictable and scalable
• Monitor progress against agreed timelines and act proactively when risks emerge
• Provide regular updates to merchants, digital agencies, and internal stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in implementation, project management, onboarding, delivery, or similar customer-facing roles
• Experience in payments, fintech, or e-commerce is a plus
• Proven track record managing complex implementations from contract signature through go-live and handover
• Solid understanding of APIs, integrations, and technical documentation, with ability to investigate implementation issues and collaborate with technical teams
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills, including managing timelines, blockers, dependencies, and multiple internal and external stakeholders
• Structured, proactive, and pragmatic approach with strong ownership and confidence to challenge when needed
• Excellent communication skills in English
