Lead Analyst, HRIS (Workday & AI)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global industrial technology organization in their search for a Lead Analyst, HRIS (Workday & AI) based in Spain. Our client is seeking a highly experienced Workday professional who will partner with HR leaders to design, configure, and implement innovative solutions. This senior individual contributor role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of HR technology and artificial intelligence, driving automation and intelligent workflows across a global organization.

Responsibilities

• Partner with HR leaders and specialist teams to define, configure, test, and implement Workday solutions across Core HCM, Talent, Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, business processes, reporting, and security
• Own recurring annual processes including year-end performance reviews and calibration
• Build, configure, test, and deploy AI-enabled solutions, automation, and intelligent workflows within Workday and across HR technology platforms
• Serve as senior point of contact for complex Tier 2 and Tier 3 issues, ensuring data accuracy and integrity through audits and validation
• Evaluate new AI capabilities, tools, and Workday features while contributing to strategic planning and future technology direction
• Provide mentorship, training, and technical guidance to less experienced analysts
• Plan and deliver assigned projects, enhancements, and releases, coordinating stakeholders and managing timelines
• Support data governance, security, privacy, compliance, and audit requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation of configuration, design decisions, processes, testing, and support procedures

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with seven-plus years of HRIS, HR technology, or enterprise application experience
• Significant hands-on Workday configuration and support experience across multiple functional areas, including Talent and Talent Acquisition or Recruiting
• Proficiency in Workday reporting, calculated fields, condition rules, security concepts, testing, and release management
• Demonstrated experience independently resolving complex issues and managing projects from start to finish
• Understanding of HR processes and terminology with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication, advisory, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global environment with high attention to detail and confidentiality
• Technical curiosity and ability to apply AI responsibly and securely

Preferred qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with AI, AI agents, automation, or intelligent workflow solutions
• Workday certifications
• Experience with Advanced Compensation, Benefits, or Integrations modules
• Experience supporting global organizations and mergers and acquisitions
• Experience with Power BI or HR analytics
• Background mentoring analysts or leading project teams
