Senior Engineer (m/w/d) — On-Site & Vollzeit

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential fintech organization based in Munich. They are seeking a Senior Engineer to join a small, experienced technical team with significant responsibility for business-critical solutions. This is an on-site, full-time position for candidates who can work primarily from their Munich office.

We are looking for an engineer who thrives in environments where ownership and initiative matter more than process and hierarchy. You'll work directly with product teams and leadership to deliver pragmatic technical solutions that drive real business impact.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate reliable, maintainable software systems in a production environment
• Own important projects from problem definition through implementation to ongoing operations
• Challenge assumptions, identify risks, and translate business and product requirements into effective technical solutions
• Collaborate closely with product teams, leadership, and internal and external stakeholders
• Support other developers and help evolve technical standards and engineering practices

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Excellent English communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong initiative, critical thinking, and ability to set priorities and drive projects to completion independently
• Solid foundation in software development with hands-on experience building and operating production systems
• Ability and willingness to work primarily on-site in the Munich office
• Curiosity and motivation to learn new technologies and domains independently

Preferred:

• Professional German language skills
• Experience in fintech, financial services, or other regulated industries
• Knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, AWS, Docker, Node.js, React, GraphQL, serverless or event-driven architectures
• Experience working in small teams with broad individual ownership
