Senior AI Architect & Consultant (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential software consultancy based in München that specializes in building production-grade generative AI systems. Our talent team is seeking a Senior AI Architect & Consultant to design and deploy complete AI infrastructures—from model serving and agent gateways to chat and voice implementations—directly in client environments.

This role combines architectural leadership with hands-on implementation responsibility. You'll work in an agile environment with flat hierarchies, owning decisions from C-level advisory conversations through to production deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect enterprise AI solutions using LLMs, agentic RAG, and AI agent frameworks (LangGraph, PydanticAI, Mastra, OpenAI Agents SDK, or similar)
• Build evaluation pipelines and observability infrastructure using tools like LangSmith or Langfuse
• Work with modern MLOps stacks and vector databases to support deep-agent architectures
• Create solution architectures for complex client projects, ensuring security, compliance, scalability, and data privacy from initial sketches through detailed roadmaps
• Lead technical deep-dive sessions and workshops with clients, advancing projects to the next phase
• Support pre-sales activities with technical credibility and business acumen
• Communicate effectively with C-level stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business impact
• Spend approximately 50% of your time in client projects (more during intensive phases), with remaining time in pre-sales conversations, workshop preparation, and strategic support
• Travel 4–8 days per month to clients within Germany, occasionally to Austria and Switzerland
• Optional: Participate in conferences, community events, and publish technical content

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience as an architect or senior engineer, ideally in consulting or professional services
• Production project experience with agentic AI implementations beyond prototypes—real-world deployment of LangChain, LangGraph, and deep agents, or comparable depth in TypeScript environments (Mastra) or Microsoft ecosystems (Semantic Kernel, Microsoft Agent Framework, Azure AI Foundry)
• Experience with vector databases and MLOps practices is a strong plus
• Ability to explain AI concepts and architectures clearly and practically to clients
• Strong presentation and storytelling skills—you can sketch solutions in client meetings and advocate convincingly
• Comfort engaging with C-level executives on equal footing, understanding their priorities and translating technical concepts into economic value
• Business-fluent German (C1+) and conversational English
• Willingness to travel regularly within German-speaking countries
