Welspun World is recruiting a Support Staff member specialising in Plant Security and Custody to manage comprehensive security and access control operations at our facility in India. This is a full-time on-site role.
The Opportunity
This is a critical security position managing the protection of personnel, materials, vehicles, and confidential information across our manufacturing plant. You'll oversee all aspects of compound and facility security, ensuring compliance with security protocols whilst maintaining smooth operations. The role involves coordinating security teams, implementing access control measures, and safeguarding plant assets through proactive monitoring and incident prevention.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Manage and deploy security personnel to oversee access control and property protection across plant zones
- Maintain visitor management procedures, ensuring all guest activities are logged and authorised
- Monitor material gate passes; verify and cross-reference authorisations with SAP records
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on security equipment and alarm systems
- Perform intelligence-led surprise inspections and security audits based on risk assessments
- Track material movement and reconcile physical inventory with system records
- Report security incidents, breaches, and anomalies to management; recommend corrective actions
- Maintain detailed security logs and documentation in SAP Material Management Module
Who We're Looking For
- Proven experience in plant security, access control, or facility management
- Proficiency with SAP Material Management (MM) Module for tracking and authorisation
- Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to security protocols
- Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate security teams effectively
- Knowledge of security systems, CCTV, and physical access controls
- Integrity, vigilance, and commitment to confidentiality
