Senior Frontend Engineer (React) – Remote friendly

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization that is transforming how European businesses manage their finances. Our client serves hundreds of thousands of SMEs across multiple European markets and has built a reputation for exceptional customer satisfaction. They're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their remote-friendly team in Berlin.

This is an opportunity to work on production web applications used daily by a massive customer base, contributing to both customer-facing features and internal design systems. You'll be joining during an exciting phase of their technical evolution as they complete their migration to React.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship new features for end users within a cross-functional squad, owning quality from design through production deployment
• Contribute to and maintain a proprietary design system and UI library built from scratch
• Lead technical design discussions and contribute to guild-wide improvements that raise the bar for developer experience
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Backend/Mobile engineering teams
• Leverage AI tools as part of your daily workflow to explore codebases, draft technical designs, prototype solutions, and accelerate delivery while maintaining strong judgment and quality standards
• Improve team tools, processes, and developer experience for your peers across the engineering organization

What We're Looking For

• At least 3 years of professional experience with React.js, with strong proficiency in HTML and CSS
• Solid pure CSS skills—our client does not use CSS libraries like Tailwind, so you need to be comfortable writing CSS from scratch
• Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to excellence in every aspect of your work
• Strong communication skills—you can explain technical concepts clearly, concisely, and accurately
• AI fluency and good judgment: ability to leverage AI to accelerate research, writing, coding, and testing while remaining critical of outputs and protecting product reliability
• Must be living in or willing to relocate to Germany, France, Italy, Serbia, or Spain
