About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential digital consultancy seeking a Senior Mobile Security Developer for an initial 6-month contract engagement. This is an Inside IR35 contract based in London, with a hybrid working arrangement requiring 2 days per week on-site.
Our client works on business-critical digital transformation projects, delivering secure and scalable mobile solutions for ambitious organizations. This role sits within their mobile practice and requires deep expertise in mobile security architecture, testing, and implementation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of security services for mobile platforms, including penetration testing, threat modeling, and security consultancy
- Define secure technical approaches and squad-level architecture for mobile projects
- Develop and implement threat models and risk mitigation strategies
- Translate business objectives into technical security strategy and ensure alignment with long-term goals
- Conduct mobile security assessments and implement security controls across Android and iOS applications
- Communicate security recommendations to clients and manage technical expectations
- Drive adoption of Agile methodologies and resolve technical impediments
- Foster continuous improvement in security practices, tooling, and team capabilities
- Contribute to end-to-end mobile development and security excellence across full-stack systems
What We're Looking For
Required expertise:
- Strong hands-on experience with Android and iOS security fundamentals, including common threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques
- Practical experience in mobile penetration testing and security assessments
- Deep understanding of authentication, authorization, cryptography, encryption, and secure design principles
- Systematic approach to identifying and resolving mobile security issues
- Strong knowledge of security architecture and controls for mobile platforms
- Ability to recommend and implement appropriate cryptographic controls
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Excellent client communication skills
Desirable skills:
- Experience with reverse engineering tools such as Burp Suite Pro, Frida, Objection, JADX, IDA Pro, Hopper, Radare, ADB, Apktool, or Xcode
- Knowledge of Android/iOS development and secure development practices
- Familiarity with DevSecOps tooling, testing frameworks, and automation
- Programming experience in C, Java, Kotlin, Objective-C, Swift, JavaScript, Python, or Bash
- Understanding of ARM/ARM64 assembly
- Awareness of Cloud security and emerging mobile security technologies
