Senior Enterprise Architect (Associate, Contract)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential professional services organization seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect for project-based contract work in London. You will lead current state enterprise architecture reviews from discovery through to executive presentation, working directly with senior business and technology leaders.

In this role, you will:

• Conduct interviews with C-level executives and translate findings into clear, actionable guidance
• Map decision-making processes across applications, data, integration, security, operations and organizational change
• Validate early findings against actual decisions, documentation and other supporting evidence
• Identify gaps in ownership, duplicated efforts, risk exposure and critical dependencies
• Design practical options with clear accountability and deliver costed implementation roadmaps
• Produce board-ready reports, architecture diagrams and executive presentations
• Own the quality of deliverables and manage the client relationship throughout each engagement

What We're Looking For

You must have:

• At least 10 years of enterprise architecture, business architecture or technology governance experience
• Proven track record personally leading current state assessments from discovery to executive readout
• Experience interviewing and presenting to Board members, COOs, CIOs or equivalent senior leaders
• Strong technical knowledge spanning applications, data, integration, security, operating models and technology governance
• Recent experience working in law firms, professional services partnerships, financial services or other regulated industries
• Demonstrated ability to transform complex technical findings into clear written recommendations and actionable decisions
• Confidence to professionally challenge senior stakeholders and work independently without large team support
• Right to work and contract in the UK without sponsorship
• Availability for remote work with occasional travel to London and other UK client sites
• Ability to meet standard checks for conflicts, references, confidentiality, information security and insurance

TOGAF or similar qualifications are helpful, but we prioritize demonstrable delivery experience.

Pay

This is a project-based associate contract with no guaranteed minimum days. Initial assignments typically run 10 to 20 days delivered over three to six weeks. Work is mostly remote with planned UK client travel when required. Additional projects may follow across enterprise architecture, AI governance, data and security domains.

Day rates will be discussed during the screening process and are based on experience and assignment scope.
