Manager SAP Basis Solutions (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a global organization in Mannheim seeking an experienced SAP Basis Solutions Manager to take ownership of their international SAP platform landscape.

This position goes beyond traditional SAP administration. You will ensure the stable, secure, and high-performing operation of a complex SAP environment while driving technological advancement and continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities include:

• Maintaining operational excellence across a global SAP landscape including SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and modern SAP platforms
• Managing system monitoring, transport management, job scheduling, interface management, performance analysis, and troubleshooting
• Planning and executing upgrades, release changes, migrations, system copies, templates, and international rollout projects
• Administering and developing SAP platforms including SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, SAP BTP, SAP Cloud ALM, and SAP RISE Private Cloud Edition
• Coordinating external service providers, hosting partners, and consultants while ensuring agreed service quality levels
• Supporting SAP system measurement activities and analyzing license utilization to identify optimization opportunities
• Continuously improving and automating SAP operational processes with focus on availability, security, compliance, performance, and future readiness

What We're Looking For

Our talent team is seeking a professional with solid SAP Basis expertise and genuine interest in modern SAP technologies.

Required qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
• Practical experience in SAP Basis administration and operating complex SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA system landscapes
• Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver and SAP HANA, particularly in monitoring, transport management, system copies, upgrades, migrations, and troubleshooting
• Experience with hybrid SAP landscapes and modern SAP technologies such as SAP BTP and SAP Cloud ALM
• Knowledge of SAP Security, roles and authorizations, certificate management, high availability, and backup/disaster recovery concepts
• Experience coordinating and managing external service providers
• Independent, structured, solution-oriented working style with strong communication skills
• Very good German and English language proficiency

Preferred:

• Familiarity with SAP RISE Private Cloud Edition
• Experience with technical SAP system measurement and license usage evaluation
