About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential research institution in Köln that requires a student assistant to support their data services team. This is a part-time position (10 hours per week, fixed term) ideal for students pursuing quantitative social science degrees who want hands-on experience in research data management.
Our client operates within the social sciences sector, providing infrastructure and services for data management, curation, and long-term archiving. The team you'll join focuses on data acquisition and access, promoting FAIR data principles and open science practices.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of a client management system
- Assist with service requests related to data archiving processes
- Conduct research for methodological studies on research data management topics, including data sharing and archiving practices
- Contribute to documentation and administrative tasks within the data services workflow
What We're Looking For
- Excellent Bachelor's degree in a quantitative social science discipline (currently enrolled in further studies)
- Experience with literature management software is desirable
- Website maintenance experience is a plus
- Independent, proactive working style with strong team collaboration skills
- German language proficiency required for this role
