Overview
Our talent team is representing a confidential social science research organization in Cologne, Germany. We are seeking one or two Student Research Assistants to support data curation and augmentation work focused on survey research and democracy studies. This is a part-time, temporary position ideal for students enrolled in political science, sociology, or related social science programs.
Responsibilities
- Support the team's service and research activities in the Cologne office
- Collect and manage research data from various survey sources
- Perform analysis and visualization of quantitative research data
- Conduct literature research to support ongoing projects
- Assist with preparation and coordination of methodology courses and research workshops
- Contribute to data linking projects that combine survey data with other data types
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled as a student in social sciences (political science, sociology, or similar field)
- Strong knowledge of quantitative research methods
- Experience with R programming language is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Zotero bibliography management tool is a plus
- Interest in democracy research or social science methodology
- Good command of English; German language skills are advantageous
- Detail-oriented approach to data management and documentation
