UAV and Flight Test Engineer (f/m/d)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential aerospace defense organization based in Munich, Germany. They are developing next-generation autonomous systems to counter aerial threats, and they need a skilled UAV and Flight Test Engineer to support prototype development and field demonstration operations.

This is a hands-on technical role where you will work directly with unmanned aerial vehicle systems, supporting both the prototyping phase in production and flight testing at customer sites. You will take ownership of flight demo infrastructure and ensure all systems are mission-ready.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for hands-on prototyping, assembly, and testing of UAV systems and subsystems
• Set up and configure UAV systems, including Ground Control Stations (GCS), for demonstration execution
• Take ownership of flight demo infrastructure, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and operational
• Support setup of flight testing operations in the field, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise
• Collaborate with engineers and flight test personnel to ensure safe and successful flight testing
• Maintain readiness of systems for seamless operations at customer demonstration sites

What We're Looking For

• Required: Prior experience building UAV systems and drone piloting
• Highly preferred: Background in military operations or similar high-pressure, technical environments
• Highly preferred: Experience with model RC aircraft flying or UAV systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in dynamic environments and handle technical challenges on-site
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid work permit for Germany (visa sponsorship is not available)
