Senior Conference & Events Manager- Live Events, New Opening!

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential hospitality organization preparing to launch a premier meetings and events venue in London's West End in Spring 2027. As part of the opening team, you'll help shape the culture and guest experience at this highly anticipated 54,000-square-foot destination designed for immersive corporate events, conferences, and brand experiences.

Our client seeks a Senior Conference & Events Manager who excels at both strategic oversight and meticulous execution. This is a leadership role where you'll oversee all aspects of event operations, from high-stakes live corporate gatherings to facilities management, ensuring every detail contributes to exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

Event Operations Leadership:

• Take overall responsibility for events operations across the venue
• Lead and manage the Events Operations team and Conference Services team in all operational aspects
• Oversee external cleaning contracts with monthly reviews and consistent monitoring
• Drive forward yearly, monthly, and unplanned maintenance requirements
• Ensure all departments maintain the highest standards of delivery and customer service
• Continuously monitor and improve front-of-house operations systems
• Manage venue health and safety compliance
• Direct staff scheduling and ensure effective communication between all departments

Client Experience Management:

• Deliver exceptional customer service across all events
• Actively seek and monitor client feedback, maintaining up-to-date records
• Develop and implement action plans based on feedback for continuous improvement
• Handle complaints professionally and promptly
• Achieve customer satisfaction targets including 90% positive feedback and 9-10 Net Promoter scores

Financial & Commercial Oversight:

• Support business plan objectives and ensure front-of-house targets align with overall goals
• Implement and maintain tracking and stock control systems with effective rotation and monthly counts
• Control purchase order systems within operations
• Manage all invoicing and inventory
• Optimize labour management to ensure appropriate staffing levels

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience:

• 3+ years of leadership experience in event venue management, hospitality, client services, or related field
• Proven ability to manage client service and conference service teams
• Strong background in operational and financial management within a venue or hospitality setting
