Senior Event Production Manager- Live Events, New Opening!

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential hospitality organization that is launching an exciting new meetings and events venue in London's West End in Spring 2027. This 54,000-square-foot location will set a new benchmark for experiential events, combining advanced production technology with exceptional service delivery.

As part of the opening team, the Senior Event Production Manager will play a pivotal role in establishing operational standards, building team culture, and delivering world-class events from day one. This is a rare opportunity to shape a flagship venue from the ground up.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management

• Lead and manage the Events Team, including staff scheduling, resource allocation, and performance management
• Conduct biannual appraisals and regular one-to-one meetings with direct reports
• Provide training and professional development plans to support team growth
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety training requirements and company policies
• Oversee probation reviews, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary procedures where required
• Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales and Operations departments

Events Planning & Coordination

• Oversee end-to-end planning and execution of physical, hybrid, and virtual events
• Serve as the primary client liaison during planning phases, ensuring clear communication and alignment
• Develop detailed event documentation including Programme Execution Orders, room layouts, timelines, and deliverables
• Conduct client kick-off meetings and provide guidance on deadlines, requirements, and production schedules
• Coordinate with AV production, catering, and operations teams to finalize event logistics
• Manage client expectations and advise on event capabilities and platform improvements
• Facilitate pre-event and post-event debriefs to drive continuous improvement

Operational Excellence

• Support pre-sales activities by advising on event feasibility, logistics, and timelines
• Assist in creating event proposals, room diagrams, and other sales materials
• Oversee event budget management including cost calculations, approvals, and invoicing
• Supervise on-site operations, ensuring smooth execution and real-time problem resolution
• Lead weekly event meetings and Programme Execution Order discussions across stakeholders
• Maintain high service standards and hospitality protocols at all times

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in large-scale corporate event planning, including complex social and experiential events
• Extensive background in physical, hybrid, and virtual event formats
• Proven leadership and team management experience
• Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent events
• Excellent client relationship management and communication abilities
• Knowledge of AV production, catering logistics, and event operations
• Proficiency in event management software and project management tools

Desirable Experience

• Familiarity with virtual event platforms and livestream production
• Budget management experience within an events setting
