About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential construction organization in Magdeburg seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to manage equipment administration and technical operations. This is a permanent position supporting construction site operations through equipment management, maintenance, and repair activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the deployment of construction machinery and equipment
• Inspect returned machines for cleanliness, functionality, and completeness
• Conduct regular inventory assessments at yards and construction sites
• Perform maintenance, repair, and servicing work on construction equipment
• Organize scheduled maintenance appointments and inspections
• Execute welding work in connection with equipment refurbishment
• Collaborate closely with site supervisors and field teams
• Maintain updated equipment lists and documentation
• Identify and prepare capital investment requirements
• Procure necessary materials and components for machinery and equipment
• Handle warehouse and transport logistics, including obtaining special permits under traffic regulations
• Coordinate and oversee workshop operations and driver personnel

What We're Looking For

• Completed vocational training as a metalworker, automotive mechatronics technician, agricultural/construction machinery mechatronics technician, or comparable qualification
• Solid knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components, including maintenance and servicing
• Strong manual skills and technical aptitude
• Valid welding certification preferred
• Strong organizational skills and structured work approach
• Willingness to travel to construction sites as needed, occasional installation work during shutdown periods
• Class B driver's license required; Class CE license preferred
• Proficient PC and MS Office skills
