About This Opportunity
Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential edtech client seeking an experienced Poker Coach to work with players at all levels. This is a flexible, remote opportunity for coaches who want to share their strategic expertise and help others improve their game.
You'll work one-on-one with students looking to sharpen their poker skills—covering everything from game theory and hand reading to bankroll management, mental game strengthening, and tilt control. Sessions are virtual, and you'll set your own schedule and rates while partnering with a supportive team to deliver high-quality coaching experiences.
Responsibilities
- Teach poker strategy, game theory, and advanced hand reading techniques
- Guide students on bankroll management and session discipline
- Tailor coaching to cash game or tournament strategy based on player goals
- Help players develop mental resilience and manage tilt effectively
- Break down complex strategic decisions into clear, actionable lessons
- Host virtual coaching sessions on your own schedule
- Provide a structured, supportive learning experience for every student
What We're Looking For
- Significant competitive or professional poker experience
- Prior coaching, mentoring, or teaching experience preferred
- Clear, structured approach to explaining strategy and decision-making
- Strong communication skills and patience with students at varying skill levels
- Ability to work independently and manage your own coaching schedule
- Passion for helping others improve and reach their goals
