Regional Costing, Insights & Consulting Director EMEA (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential automotive benchmarking organization seeking a Regional Costing, Insights & Consulting Director for EMEA. In this role, you will:

• Lead and develop the EMEA costing team, including team leaders, customer program managers, and cost engineers
• Define regional capability strategy and build leadership, technical, and consulting skills across the organization
• Own EMEA workforce planning, capacity allocation, and portfolio priorities to meet customer and business commitments
• Govern opportunity qualification across EMEA with disciplined risk assessment and profitable execution
• Partner with Sales to shape complex opportunities and expand consulting-led propositions for strategic accounts
• Define and execute the EMEA consulting roadmap, creating repeatable offerings with effective governance for delivery and knowledge reuse
• Own regional delivery excellence across scope, milestones, budget, and quality, personally leading critical escalations
• Serve as executive sponsor for complex consulting engagements and trusted advisor to senior clients on cost competitiveness, value engineering, benchmarking, and product optimization
• Manage the EMEA costing P&L and resource forecasts with transparent risk reporting and corrective actions
• Provide client and market feedback to inform global methodology and innovation development

What We're Looking For

• Degree in engineering or comparable technical discipline
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in automotive, cost-engineering, engineering-services, or consulting environments
• Minimum 5 years of successful leadership of a regional or multi-country function with P&L accountability and management of 10+ people
• Strong track record sponsoring and governing complex projects from solution shaping through delivery, including quality oversight and risk recovery
• Executive presence and credibility to advise senior clients, chair steering committees, and navigate difficult commercial decisions
• Broad understanding of automotive technologies across powertrain, electronics, exterior, battery, and interior domains
• Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills, familiarity with project management tools and AI usage
• Professional proficiency in English
