About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential workflow automation company based in Germany that is seeking their first dedicated Sales Data Analyst. This is a rare opportunity to define the analytics function behind a dual-engine commercial motion: a product-led growth funnel serving thousands of developers alongside an enterprise sales team closing strategic accounts.
Our client recently migrated to Salesforce, implemented usage-based pricing, and built a modern data foundation. What they need now is someone to own the sales analytics - pipeline health, forecast support, conversion optimization, and GTM planning. You'll sit within the data team, embedded with RevOps and Sales leadership, directly influencing how the organization forecasts, prioritizes, and converts.
Responsibilities
- Own pipeline analytics: build models and views showing pipeline coverage, stage conversion, velocity, and slippage
- Support RevOps on forecasting by supplying analysis, accuracy tracking, and trusted explanations of forecast movements
- Conduct actionable win/loss analysis that goes beyond surface-level findings
- Build account and lead scoring based on product usage signals and firmographic data
- Refine PQL and MQL definitions to ensure sales reps trust incoming leads
- Model territories, quota allocation, and capacity for annual planning cycles
- Segment accounts to identify which motions and customer types deliver ROI
- Partner with Analytics Engineering on Salesforce and product data models in dbt/BigQuery
- Standardize metric definitions across sales, marketing, and finance
- Build dashboards that GTM managers actually use to run their operations
- Participate in pipeline reviews and planning as a strategic partner, not just a reporting function
- Deliver written analysis and crisp recommendations that influence resource allocation decisions
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves:
- 5+ years in sales, revenue, or GTM analytics at B2B SaaS companies with real ownership of the sales funnel
- Native fluency in sales metrics: pipeline coverage, stage conversion, velocity, win rate, ACV, quota attainment, ramp, ARR/NRR
- Deep experience with Salesforce or equivalent CRM platforms - understanding data structure, quirks, and common hygiene issues
- Background supporting or building forecast models with defensible methodology
- Expert SQL skills and comfort with modern data warehouse stacks (BigQuery, dbt, Metabase/Hex or similar)
- Experience modeling territories, quotas, or capacity for actual sales organizations
- Business partner mindset: ability to work credibly with sales leaders and challenge data interpretations constructively
- High-agency approach - you identify what's worth analyzing and arrive with recommendations, not just reports
- Strong written and verbal communication that changes what people do next
Nice-to-Haves:
- Product-led growth experience, especially around self-serve to sales-assisted handoffs
- Familiarity with usage-based or consumption revenue models
- Experience building lead or account scoring models (statistical or ML-based)
- Python for analysis (pandas, statsmodels, scikit-learn)
- Background with technical products, developer tools, or open-source businesses
- Knowledge of GTM tools like Gong, Clay, enrichment platforms, or marketing attribution
- Ability to ship your own dbt models rather than only requesting work from engineering
