About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential robotics organization operating across Europe. Our talent team is looking for a System Reliability Engineer to join a technical support function that keeps AI-powered automation running in industrial environments. This is a customer-facing role with significant travel, remote troubleshooting responsibility, and opportunity to shape support infrastructure from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support for robotic systems deployed across European industrial sites
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues remotely using SSH, Docker, Python, and related tooling
- Serve as primary technical contact for customers, delivering clear communication and structured problem-solving
- Collaborate with internal hardware and software teams to resolve complex technical challenges
- Escalate unresolved incidents and coordinate specialist involvement for timely resolution
- Participate in on-call rotation to address urgent customer issues during assigned shifts
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and contribute to knowledge base improvements
- Identify recurring problems and drive product and process enhancements
- Develop platform improvements including ticketing systems, customer dashboards, and debugging tools
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, or related technical field (Master's preferred)
- 2–3 years of experience in robotics with customer-facing responsibilities
- Proficiency in Python programming with ability to debug and analyze code
- Experience with remote support techniques including SSH and Docker
- Fluent in German and English
- Working knowledge of databases and SQL
- Strong methodical troubleshooting skills and problem-solving approach
- Excellent communication skills with proven experience in technical support roles
- Familiarity with robotics systems and operational environments
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup setting and handle on-call duties
- Willingness to travel approximately 50–75% of the time
- Experience in logistics or warehouse automation is a plus
