Responsibilities

We are representing a leading e-commerce agency seeking a Project Leader to drive PIM and ERP integration projects from discovery through go-live and beyond. You will serve as the primary point of contact for German-speaking clients while coordinating with international development teams.

Your core responsibilities include:

  • Leading end-to-end e-commerce projects involving shop platforms, product information management systems, and enterprise resource planning solutions
  • Translating client requirements into technical solutions and bringing development team insights back to stakeholders
  • Ensuring every initiative includes measurable KPIs and tracking concepts to demonstrate tangible impact
  • Thinking like a product owner—challenging unclear business value, stopping work when requirements lack justification, and advocating for sound technical decisions
  • Managing project plans, timelines, budgets, and status reporting with reliability
  • Facilitating workshops, sprint planning sessions, and retrospectives that drive clarity and action
  • Identifying and mitigating risks before they escalate

What We're Looking For

Our client needs someone who pushes back when necessary—with data and solid reasoning—not someone who simply moves tickets from column to column.

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years leading digital or e-commerce projects from concept through operations
  • Technical fluency to discuss APIs, PIM systems, ERP platforms, and integrations with development teams (coding skills not required, but understanding technical conversations is essential)
  • Hands-on experience with Scrum and Kanban methodologies
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Miro
  • Fluent German (C2 level) and strong English for cross-border team collaboration
  • Ability to create roadmaps, backlogs, milestones, and budgets from scratch
  • Experience using or strong interest in adopting AI tools in daily workflows
  • Capacity to perform under pressure when deadlines are tight

Critical specialization—one of the following:

  • PIM expertise: Deep understanding of product data models, attributes, variants, multi-channel distribution, and migrations from legacy systems
  • ERP expertise: Knowledge of inventory, pricing, order management, invoicing, and system integrations

Experience with Pimcore, Odoo, Akeneo, Contentserv, SAP, or Business Central is valuable. Background working on the merchant/retailer side is a plus, as is familiarity with Shopware or Magento platforms.
