TechLead / Solutions Architect (Python & GenAI)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI consulting organization with deep expertise in generative AI, cloud architecture, and enterprise solutions. Our talent team is seeking a Technical Lead / Solutions Architect to drive GenAI-powered solutions for clients across finance, healthcare, retail, and technology sectors.

This role combines hands-on technical leadership with client engagement, solution architecture, and team mentorship. You'll own the technical direction of projects from discovery through production deployment, working with cutting-edge foundation models and building AI agents, RAG systems, and cloud-native Python services.

Location: Serbia (Remote with flexible hours)

Responsibilities

• Drive the development and architecture of production-grade GenAI solutions including AI agents and RAG systems
• Own technical client relationships: lead discovery sessions, decompose requirements, present architecture decisions, and manage scope against timeline and budget
• Write clean, production-ready Python code across AI integrations, backend services, and RESTful APIs
• Design and implement LLM-based solutions that deliver measurable business impact
• Support presales activities including discovery calls, technical proposals, scoping, and client-facing demonstrations
• Lead architecture reviews, produce technical design documents, and establish engineering standards
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and foster knowledge sharing across teams
• Make and defend architectural trade-off decisions (microservices vs monolith, sync vs event-driven, SQL vs NoSQL)
• Optimize cloud architecture costs and produce phased delivery plans with clear deliverables and risk assessments

What We're Looking For

Required Experience & Skills:

• 7+ years building and running production systems (beyond demos and POCs)
• Strong Python proficiency: OOP, design patterns, clean architecture, and performance optimization
• Hands-on experience building production LLM-based applications and agentic workflows
• Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or AWS Bedrock)
• Proven ability building and optimizing RAG systems for production use cases
• Experience building RESTful APIs with FastAPI, Django REST, or Flask
• Strong testing practices: pytest, mocking, and integration tests for AI systems
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Hands-on AWS experience (SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, ECS, S3, SQS, ECR, or similar); GCP considered
• Understanding of LLM evaluation techniques and quality assurance approaches
• Experience deploying and maintaining AI/ML models in production environments
• Experience with React or Vue
• B2+ English proficiency for multicultural team collaboration

Professional Attributes:

• Full-stack mindset comfortable across AI, backend development, and cloud infrastructure
• Currently using AI tools in daily workflow (Claude Code, Copilot, or similar)
• Proactive and self-directed; ownership mentality and ability to identify problems early
• Experience with cost estimation and cloud architecture optimization
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and integration patterns

Nice to Have:

• AWS and Claude Code Certifications
• Experience with Streamlit or Gradio for AI prototyping
• Modern Python tooling (ruff, uv, pyproject.toml, pyright)
• CI/CD pipeline experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Experience in an additional language (Go, Node.js, or Rust)
• Additional front-end experience
