Product Manager – Security

Responsibilities

Our client, a leading cloud infrastructure provider in the AI and ML space, is seeking a Security Product Manager to join their Berlin team. In this role, you will be the voice of security to customers, partners, and the broader market. You'll transform the organization's security posture into a competitive advantage rather than just a compliance checkbox.

Product Management

• Define vision and roadmap for security products across the cloud platform
• Own ideation, prioritization, backlog management, and customer feedback processes
• Guide new security features, systems, and services from inception to launch while maintaining a customer-centric approach

Customer-Facing Communications

• Lead public-facing communications around security updates and compliance status changes
• Coordinate user messaging during security incidents (email notifications, press releases, FAQs) in collaboration with security leadership
• Gather user feedback on security experience to drive continuous improvements

Competitive Analysis and Market Research

• Conduct ongoing research on industry benchmarks, emerging security standards, and competitor certifications
• Identify gaps and opportunities in the organization's security posture; propose strategic initiatives that differentiate the security story
• Stay informed about new regulations and frameworks that may influence future certifications or transparency requirements

Certification and Audit Support

• Track and maintain a certification roadmap (ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, etc.), communicating timelines and status updates to leadership and sales
• Collaborate with the security office to gather technical evidence and enhance products to meet certification requirements
• Take ownership of security-related services within the cloud platform

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with multiple product managers to align security goals with other product roadmaps
• Work with platform security, GRC, corporate security, and legal teams to gather essential information for security product enhancements
• Partner with customer-facing teams to address client inquiries about security posture and optimize feature usage

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Product Management or Program Management experience with a focus on security initiatives
• Basic knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR) and how they translate into business value
• Proven ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear, customer-friendly manner (writing, webinars, conferences)
• Strong stakeholder management skills to align with product managers, security leadership, engineering, marketing, and customer-facing teams
• Analytical mindset: comfortable defining success metrics (security feature adoption, trust-related NPS, certification progress) and making data-driven decisions
• Project management skills: demonstrated ability to manage inter-team collaboration on company-wide projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with compliance goals

Bonus Qualifications:

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or PMP
• Prior experience in regulated industries
• Prior experience working for a cloud service provider
