AI (Senior) Developer (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology organization seeking an AI Developer at mid or senior level. In this role, you will integrate generative AI technologies into production application software and contribute to cloud-native development projects focused on AI-driven solutions.

Your day-to-day work includes:

• Integrating generative AI technologies into existing applications
• Analyzing complex datasets for AI use cases and improving data quality
• Evaluating and optimizing software systems with AI components such as LangChain, OpenAI, and Ollama
• Developing and enhancing AI solutions with new technical approaches
• Working with AI-ready database systems including relational, vector, and graph databases
• Researching and evaluating emerging AI technologies and methods
• Collaborating with customers and project teams to present technical results

At the senior level, you will take ownership and technical responsibility from concept through delivery, establish best practices for AI evaluation and optimization, make architectural decisions, provide technical leadership to developers, and facilitate workshops and technical reviews.

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Completed degree (preferably Master's) with focus on AI or IT
• Solid knowledge of Python plus at least one additional language (JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, or Java)
• Practical experience integrating generative AI technologies and frameworks like LangChain
• Experience with AI-ready database systems (relational, vector, and graph databases)
• Experience in cloud-native development and DevOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub)
• Knowledge of API design and full-stack software development
• Very good German and English language skills (minimum C1 level in both)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a structured manner

For senior level:

• Several years of professional experience with proven project success in AI software development
• Deep expertise with Python and modern programming languages
• Ability to establish and enforce AI best practices
• Extensive experience in complex database integration projects
• Architectural responsibility and relevant practical experience
• Experience leading development projects
• Proven ability to drive innovation and provide technical leadership
