Senior Solutions Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to join their ANZ team in Sydney. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical resource for the sales organization, partnering with account teams to deliver security and observability solutions to enterprise clients across Australia and New Zealand.

As a trusted technical advisor, you will guide prospects through complex technical evaluations, design solutions that address specific business challenges, and build lasting relationships that extend beyond the initial sale. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies while collaborating cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to shape platform development.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives and Account Managers to understand customer challenges and articulate technical value propositions
• Lead technical validations and proof of value exercises to demonstrate platform capabilities
• Deliver compelling product demonstrations tailored to diverse audiences, from C-level executives to developers and Site Reliability Engineers
• Technically close complex opportunities through advanced product knowledge, competitive differentiation, and credibility building
• Orchestrate technical aspects of the sales cycle from discovery through implementation handoff
• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams to share customer feedback and drive product improvements

What We're Looking For

• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; M.S. preferred
• 4+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Implementation Consultant, Support Engineer, SRE, or Software Developer with project leadership experience
• Hands-on knowledge of security technologies including IDS/IPS, SIEM/Log Management, Network/Endpoint Security, Threat Detection, Incident Response, MSSP/MDR, Threat Feeds, or CASB
• Experience with pure SaaS solutions in multi-tenant architectures
• Proficiency with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure; cloud certifications preferred
• Strong understanding of technical infrastructure including servers, networking devices, and storage systems
• Knowledge of modern application architecture including micro-services, containers, Kubernetes, Docker, and/or Lambda
• Experience with open source collection tools (Telegraf, FluentBit, FluentD, Open Telemetry) preferred
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms preferred
• Experience leading technical validations and proof of value exercises preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong business and technical acumen
• Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments; startup experience preferred
