Senior M&A Manager | Buy & Build

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential private-equity-backed buy-and-build platform in the professional services sector. Our client is actively pursuing strategic acquisitions across the DACH region as part of an ambitious growth strategy. We're seeking a Senior M&A Manager to lead the full transaction lifecycle and drive this buy-and-build initiative alongside the investment team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of the buy-and-build strategy in close collaboration with senior leadership and investors
• Identify, analyze, and approach suitable acquisition targets across the professional services market
• Manage the complete transaction process from initial outreach through due diligence to signing and closing
• Coordinate all relevant workstreams including financial, legal, tax, commercial, and M&A activities
• Prepare and conduct management meetings and negotiations with business owners, shareholders, and advisors
• Develop company valuations, business cases, financial models, and investment memoranda
• Negotiate letters of intent, purchase agreements, and other transaction documentation with internal and external stakeholders
• Support post-merger integration activities and the continuous refinement of the acquisition strategy
• Take on increasing responsibility as the M&A function grows

What We're Looking For

• Successfully completed degree in business, economics, finance, or comparable qualification
• Minimum five years of relevant experience in M&A, corporate development, private equity, investment banking, or corporate finance
• Proven track record of independently executing complex M&A transactions
• Strong expertise in financial modeling, company valuation, and due diligence processes
• Experience managing multiple transaction workstreams and coordinating with internal and external advisors
• Entrepreneurial mindset with high initiative, structured approach, and solution-oriented work style
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with confident presence at management level
• Fluent German and English language skills (negotiation level)
• Willingness to travel within the DACH region
• Experience with buy-and-build platforms or professional services sector is advantageous but not required
