Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential gaming technology company for a Senior/Staff Software Engineer – Rendering API role based in London. In this position, you will:
- Work on current and future rendering APIs used by high-performance gaming applications, as well as the hardware architecture that underpins them
- Design and implement features that enable efficient game development, advance GPU programming techniques, and create a robust platform ecosystem
- Monitor industry trends and maintain deep understanding of developer needs to inform technical decision-making
- Help shape the strategic direction of the graphics software stack for a leading gaming platform
- Collaborate closely with platform software teams, hardware engineers, and game development studios
- Serve as an advocate bridging platform teams and game developers, representing each perspective to the other
This is a senior engineering position at the core of GPU technology with significant influence on the future of console graphics programming. You will work with a high degree of autonomy, spending your time determining what needs to be built, designing optimal implementations, and hands-on coding and debugging rather than in committee meetings or writing proposals.

- Proven track record writing rendering code using multiple existing rendering APIs
