Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential deep-science startup in Berlin that is working on innovative volumetric 3D printing technology. Our client is seeking a Chemical Laboratory Technician (Chemielaborant) to join their research team and contribute to groundbreaking work in additive manufacturing.
In this role, you will:
- Develop chemical formulations for an advanced volumetric 3D printing process
- Synthesize photoinitiators and other specialized compounds
- Characterize end products and intermediate stages using standard analytical methods
- Document all experimental procedures and results
- Organize and manage a synthesis laboratory
- Order chemicals and laboratory materials
What We're Looking For
Required qualifications:
- Completed vocational training as a Chemielaborant, Chemisch-Technischer Assistent, or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in organic synthesis
- Knowledge of standard chemical analytical methods (NMR, LC-MS, UV/vis)
- Structured working style with ability to work independently
- Team player comfortable collaborating across disciplines (chemistry, physics, engineering)
- Basic English language skills
- Availability for full-time work (40 hours/week) in Berlin
- Flexibility for potential laboratory relocations within Berlin as the organization grows
Preferred experience:
- Hands-on experience with HPLC
- Experience evaluating NMR spectra
- Literature research for synthesis protocols
- Comfort working in an international environment
