System Architect (#MREG4)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential mixed-signal semiconductor organization seeking a System Architect to join their Edinburgh-based team. Our client is a leader in analog and mixed-signal processing solutions for consumer, industrial, and automotive markets. This is a hybrid role requiring 2+ days per week in the Edinburgh office.

Responsibilities

• Define and architect next-generation mixed-signal audio, haptic, power management, and precision sensing solutions
• Collaborate with tier 1 customers, marketing, design, software, and applications teams to define product requirements
• Generate detailed system and performance requirements for IC and firmware features
• Perform hardware/software trade-off analysis to determine optimal system implementations
• Establish architecture definitions for complex IC/SoC designs involving power converters, amplifiers, DACs/ADCs, charge pumps, and advanced DSPs
• Lead architecture reviews and participate in IC-level and board-level design reviews
• Work with design engineering, advanced technology, and IP teams on novel solutions
• Contribute to business planning around analog and mixed-signal technology functions
• Serve as the technical voice of the customer in portfolio planning and product development processes
• Understand customer architectures, roadmaps, and propose optimal technical solutions

What We're Looking For

Required:

• BEng/MEng degree in electrical engineering or related field
• Proven experience designing mixed-signal ICs with IC architectural decision-making experience
• Significant experience architecting, specifying, and designing low-power mixed-signal components for consumer, industrial, automotive, or healthcare markets
• Strong knowledge of analog and mixed-signal IC design techniques including audio circuit design, codec architectures, low-power design, silicon processes, and transducers
• Broad system-level knowledge across wider application spaces
• Strong analytical and modeling skills
• Excellent commercial awareness
• Must be able to access technical data without requiring an export license
• Must be based within commutable distance of Edinburgh or willing to relocate

Pay
