Virtual Mortgage Retention Specialist

We are representing a confidential financial services organization seeking a Virtual Mortgage Retention Specialist to join their team remotely across Canada. Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is managing this search on behalf of our client, and we're looking for an experienced professional who can deliver expert mortgage advice and retention strategies through various communication channels.

In this role, you'll proactively engage with customers approaching mortgage renewal, providing comprehensive home financing guidance while driving retention and expansion of the client relationship. You'll handle both inbound and outbound contacts, negotiate pricing, and ensure customers receive professional, efficient service that meets their financing needs.

Responsibilities

• Drive the sales process for inbound and outbound customer contacts upon mortgage renewal through in-depth home financing consultations
• Probe to understand customer needs related to mortgage renewal, investment, and financing options, providing advice in the customer's best interest
• Negotiate home financing pricing to ensure customers feel valued while maintaining profitable transactions
• Integrate marketing promotions and programs into customer conversations where appropriate
• Manage all transactional outcomes of customer contacts or refer to appropriate internal groups
• Handle customer contacts in an informed, professional, and efficient manner
• Research and investigate lending applications following established processes
• Complete required documentation to ensure accurate processing of customer requests
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on business objectives
• Escalate complex or unresolved customer situations to management as required
• Maintain confidentiality of customer and institutional information
• Adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements, including Anti-Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing reporting, consumer protection provisions, and privacy regulations
• Stay current on personal banking and lending products, practices, and trends

What We're Looking For

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in mortgage lending, retail banking, or customer retention (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Knowledge of personal lending and home financing products
• Understanding of the competitive marketplace and trends in mortgage product offerings
• Familiarity with contact centre operational processes, policies, technology, and metrics
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good organizational, collaboration, and teamwork abilities
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluency in both French and English is required, as this role provides support to clients and team members inside and outside the province of Quebec
• Ability to work remotely with strong self-management skills
