Responsibilities

Our talent team is representing a confidential social science research organization in Mannheim, Germany, seeking a student assistant (Studentische Hilfskraft) to support survey methodology teams.

You will contribute to research and service activities across questionnaire design and data quality assessment initiatives:

• Assist with preparation of publications and presentations for research teams
• Format and publish survey guides and methodological documentation in Word
• Manage academic literature using Zotero reference management software, including cataloging and linking materials
• Support organization and coordination of workshops, events, and team meetings for a data quality research project
• Handle administrative project tasks including travel planning, expense reporting, and general project coordination
• Contribute to communication, marketing, and social media activities; maintain websites, newsletters, and informational materials

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a social science degree program (sociology, political science, psychology, or related field)
• Very strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, or willingness to develop expertise quickly
• Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
• High degree of reliability and thoroughness in work execution
• Knowledge of social science research methods and statistical analysis software is advantageous

This is a part-time student position starting at 20 hours per month with possibility to increase up to 40 hours monthly. The role offers flexible working hours and remote work arrangements, as well as access to professional development opportunities and a comprehensive workplace wellness program.
