Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential SaaS organization seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to work at the cutting edge of agentic AI and enterprise web operations. This is a rare opportunity to shape production-grade AI workflows from the ground up, working directly with strategic enterprise accounts while influencing platform direction.

You'll operate at the intersection of customer success, solution architecture, and product engineering—turning first-of-kind deployments into reusable blueprints that drive platform evolution. This is a remote-first role available across the United States and select Canadian provinces (BC & ON), with an initial onboarding session required in San Francisco.

Responsibilities

• Partner with strategic enterprise customers to map business-critical marketing and web workflows into production-ready solutions
• Design and implement agentic workflows using modern APIs, CMS platforms, and emerging AI capabilities
• Build integrations between core platforms and external systems including ad platforms, analytics tools, CRM, DAM, and data pipelines
• Architect human-in-the-loop safeguards, observability layers, rollback mechanisms, and permission boundaries for production environments
• Validate deployments against production traffic patterns, governance requirements, and real-world operational constraints
• Document systematic friction points and distinguish between platform limitations and customer-specific challenges
• Create reusable architecture patterns, reference implementations, and knowledge resources from each engagement
• Support pre-sales technical conversations for complex AI and integration scenarios with strategic accounts

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 4-6 years in solutions engineering, forward deployment, or customer-facing technical roles
• Strong working knowledge of AI systems, APIs, automation platforms, data pipelines, and integration architecture patterns
• Solid front-end fundamentals: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks
• Proven experience designing and supporting systems managing live web properties at scale
• Hands-on experience with workflow automation tools
• Track record of navigating ambiguity, scoping first-of-kind projects, and delivering in uncharted territory
• Willingness to travel to customer sites for embedded engagements as needed

• Think holistically across systems, product capabilities, and risk considerations
• Possess strong product intuition and know when to build custom versus generalized solutions
• Work effectively within production constraints and operational realities
• Communicate technical trade-offs clearly, including when the best answer is "no"
• Have experience with or genuine curiosity about agentic AI systems, LLM orchestration, and autonomous workflows
• Bring familiarity with visual development or modern CMS platforms
• Demonstrate proactive learning and application of emerging AI technologies
