Operations Coordinator – Lyon

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential health insurance organization seeking an Operations Coordinator for their Lyon office. Our client is scaling rapidly across multiple European markets and needs talented professionals to deliver exceptional insurance and health services to their growing member base.

This role sits within a dynamic operations team of 50+ professionals who build, implement, and run critical processes. You'll be responsible for executing day-to-day operations across various service areas while continuously improving efficiency and member experience.

Responsibilities

Your core focus (70-80% of time) will be running and monitoring operational processes:

• Execute insurance and health service processes including claims treatment, invoicing, provider network management, and internal team support
• Monitor daily operations, track volumes, efficiency metrics, and SLAs to identify risks and improvement opportunities
• Supervise external partnerships (teleconsultation providers, claims operators), participate in negotiations, and maintain daily communication
• Perform quality controls on operational decisions and identify training needs for internal and external teams
• Escalate feedback and support initiatives to enhance process efficiency and service quality

The remaining 20-30% of your time will focus on continuous improvement:

• Collaborate with product teams to automate processes and enhance member communications
• Audit existing processes and implement automation using available tools
• Drive operational excellence through systematic process refinement

You may work across various operational pools including therapy services coordination, claims processing (including optical care), fraud prevention, or customer setup and billing processes. Our client values flexibility—team members often explore different scopes based on business needs and personal interests.

What We're Looking For

Background: We welcome candidates from diverse professional paths including:

• Operations or process management experience, particularly in scale-up environments or industrial/logistics sectors
• Support functions such as Customer Support or People Operations
• Customer-facing commercial roles like Account Management or Customer Success
• Communications, social media, or event coordination experience

Essential Skills:

• Passion for delivering and optimizing high-quality operations with willingness to dive into technical processes
• Strong problem-solving abilities and member-focused mindset
• Analytical skills with comfort working with data
• Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication in both English and French (or Dutch)
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
• Adaptability and flexibility in variable situations

Preferred: Experience in insurance or healthcare industries is advantageous but not required.
