About the Role

University of Wisconsin Madison seeks a dedicated MRI Technologist to provide expert magnetic resonance imaging services to our patients and healthcare team. In this role, you'll operate advanced MRI equipment, maintain rigorous safety protocols, and contribute to the diagnostic excellence our institution is known for.

What You'll Do

• Operate and maintain MRI imaging equipment according to established protocols and safety standards
• Position patients safely and comfortably, explaining procedures and addressing concerns throughout imaging studies
• Acquire diagnostic-quality MRI images using appropriate techniques and sequences for various clinical applications
• Monitor patient wellbeing during procedures and respond promptly to safety concerns
• Maintain detailed records of imaging studies and communicate relevant findings to radiologists and referring physicians
• Follow all radiation safety protocols and ensure compliance with federal regulations and institutional guidelines
• Collaborate with the radiology team to optimize workflow and support continuous quality improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Current ARRT (American Registry for Radiologic Technologists) certification in MRI or equivalent qualification
• Demonstrated knowledge of MRI physics, safety protocols, and imaging techniques
• Strong ability to communicate clearly with patients and medical staff in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations
• Detail-oriented approach to quality assurance and accuracy in imaging documentation
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary diagnostic imaging team
