Senior Content Marketing Manager – SEO/GEO & Blog (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential e-commerce technology organization seeking a Senior Content Marketing Manager with deep expertise in SEO, GEO, and blog strategy. This is a two-year fixed-term position covering parental leave, available fully remote within Germany or select European locations.

Our client is a leading platform in the digital commerce space, serving major brands across B2C and B2B sectors. In this role, you'll drive organic visibility, develop content that fuels demand generation, and work at the intersection of SEO strategy, editorial excellence, and AI-powered content operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and prioritize ongoing SEO and GEO initiatives, coordinating keyword research, content optimization, and implementation with cross-functional teams and external agencies
• Monitor and analyze SEO performance data, translating insights into actionable recommendations and strategic priorities for stakeholders
• Serve as the central point of contact for SEO agency management and coordination across internal teams, markets, and external partners
• Collaborate with the website team on SEO-relevant questions, ensuring technical recommendations (redirects, 404 errors, etc.) move to implementation
• Coordinate incoming blog requests and original content ideas, developing them with relevant stakeholders across topics including e-commerce, B2B, AI, and regulatory developments
• Create and review blog posts from both editorial and SEO perspectives, maintaining consistently high content quality standards
• Deploy AI strategically for content creation and SEO/GEO optimization, developing prompts and workflows to enhance efficiency
• Translate and localize content between German and English, coordinating additional language versions (Italian, Dutch, French) while maintaining quality across markets
• Publish content in the CMS, managing the full process through to release while adhering to style and design guidelines
• Drive cross-functional content projects with Product, Legal, Partner Marketing, and Demand Generation teams, owning initiatives around release communications and strategic content programs

What We're Looking For

• 5–7 years of relevant experience in content marketing, SEO, or comparable roles
• Degree or training in marketing, communications, media, or related field—or equivalent practical experience
• Strong background in content marketing with SEO focus, particularly on-page and off-page optimization, plus awareness of GEO and AI-based search visibility
• Proven ability to conceptualize, create, and editorially optimize high-quality digital content, making complex topics accessible and audience-relevant
• Data-driven approach using performance metrics to inform decisions, derive concrete actions, and justify priorities
• Confident use of generative AI and prompting for content creation and optimization, with enthusiasm for testing new AI workflows
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management experience working with internal teams, agencies, freelancers, and cross-functional groups
• Structured, independent working style with strong ownership mentality; ability to manage multiple parallel projects and drive them to completion
• Excellent German and English language skills, capable of working professionally on content in both languages
• Basic understanding of technical SEO and website technical considerations is a plus; core expertise should center on content, strategic SEO, and organic visibility
