Senior Process Planner (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential construction technology organization in Berlin that is seeking a Senior Process Planner to drive operational excellence across their project delivery pipeline. This role focuses on the critical transition phases between design and execution, ensuring projects move into construction with the necessary technical and organizational maturity.

You'll work at the intersection of planning, procurement, and construction execution, analyzing processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing practical standards that reduce rework, change orders, and inefficiencies. This position requires regular engagement with project teams and construction sites to understand real-world challenges and co-create solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and develop processes across execution planning, procurement, freeze phases, and transition to construction (stage gates 4-5)
• Support the definition and implementation of clear maturity, freeze, and handover criteria for stable construction execution
• Collaborate closely with planning, work preparation, and project steering teams to ensure execution readiness
• Evaluate rework, change orders, and delays to derive concrete improvement measures
• Participate in developing and introducing standardized processes and best practices
• Support selected projects and construction sites to validate and continuously improve processes
• Help establish and maintain process standards aligned with operational excellence principles
• Continuously optimize existing processes using structured improvement approaches (e.g., PDCA)

What We're Looking For

• Successfully completed degree in civil engineering, industrial engineering, project management, or comparable qualification
• 3–5 years of professional experience in construction execution, work preparation, project management, or similar functions
• Strong understanding of execution planning, procurement, and construction workflows and their interdependencies
• Experience analyzing, optimizing, or standardizing processes in the construction environment
• Practice-oriented mindset with genuine interest in improving processes within real project settings
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate constructively with diverse stakeholders
• Structured and solution-oriented working style focused on quality and implementability
• Willingness to make occasional construction site visits
• Excellent German language skills and good English proficiency, both written and spoken
