Security Operations Analyst II

We are representing a confidential cybersecurity organization in their search for a Security Operations Analyst II. Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is working directly with this client to identify skilled professionals who can strengthen their information security capabilities. This is a remote opportunity based in the United States.

In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing alert data to identify and investigate malicious activity within the organization's environment. You'll lead complex investigations, conduct threat hunting activities, and provide high-quality threat detection services that protect the business and its customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive security investigations including evidence collection, analysis, intrusion vector determination, and malicious activity identification
• Create detailed incident reports documenting technical analysis, findings, and recommended remediation steps
• Conduct rotational threat hunting activities to proactively uncover unknown threats
• Assist in incident response engagements by analyzing forensic artifacts to track threat actor movements
• Research current attack methodologies to enhance threat detection capabilities
• Provide continuous technical feedback to product development teams
• Identify areas for process improvement and execute sustainable solutions

What We're Looking For

• Strong problem-solving ability, critical thinking skills, and technical ingenuity
• Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems
• Hands-on experience using SIEM tools such as Splunk or similar platforms
• Experience in core Security Operations Center functions, including incident response, threat hunting, and forensic investigations
• Ability to make efficient decisions during investigations that resolve security challenges
• Demonstrated accountability in taking ownership of incident analyses, findings, and remediation tracking
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to partner across security teams and technical stakeholders
