Responsibilities

Our client, a confidential European research organization, is seeking a Master 2 intern to contribute to an innovative sustainability project focused on bio-based construction materials. You will join a specialized team working on the development of agricultural waste-based panels as part of a multi-partner European circular economy initiative.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Manufacturing bio-sourced panels through hot-pressing techniques using selected agricultural fibers
• Optimizing fabrication processes to improve panel performance and consistency
• Evaluating mechanical behaviors and insulation properties of produced panels
• Analyzing the relationship between raw material composition, morphology, and final product characteristics
• Conducting microstructural analysis of bio-composite materials
• Contributing to a comprehensive database on lignocellulosic-reinforced panels
• Preparing scientific documentation including publications, posters, and oral presentations

What We're Looking For

We are representing our client in seeking a candidate currently enrolled in a Master 2 (BAC+5) program specializing in materials science and engineering, with emphasis on polymers and composites.

Required qualifications:

• Master-level studies in materials science, polymer engineering, or composites engineering
• Knowledge and interest in bio-composites with plant-based fibers
• Experience or coursework in material characterization and mechanical testing
• Demonstrated ability to produce scientific outputs (publications, posters, oral presentations)
• Strong analytical and experimental skills
• Fluency in French for daily laboratory work

Internship details:

• 6-month duration starting February 2027
• Based in Alès, Occitanie, France
