About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global medical device organization in their search for an Executive Account Manager, Coronary based in the Detroit area. This field-based role focuses on driving commercial growth within interventional cardiology, promoting a comprehensive portfolio of coronary interventional products including drug-eluting stents, atherectomy devices, guide wires, and imaging technologies.

Our client is a leader in minimally invasive vascular treatments, serving healthcare providers across the United States. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge medical technologies while building strategic relationships with interventional cardiologists and hospital decision-makers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all commercial selling activity for the assigned Detroit territory, focusing on interventional cardiologists and promoting the complete coronary portfolio including atherectomy, carotid, drug-eluting stents, and base coronary products
  • Drive product utilization in key growth categories and support capital equipment placement to enable product adoption
  • Influence stakeholders within hospital settings and identify key purchasing decision makers to facilitate sales growth
  • Support contracting efforts to secure favorable positions in accounts within the territory
  • Develop and implement sales strategies by analyzing product, competition, and pricing needs of existing and potential accounts
  • Provide clinical selling support and procedure case service, including selling on clinical differentiation, value proposition, and physician onboarding
  • Drive market development for new product segments and coordinate new product launches
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and unit growth objectives
  • Develop action plans by analyzing sales figures and reports, working closely with the Regional Sales Director
  • Strengthen customer relationships through sales support activities including product training, therapy education, and educational events
  • Build networks by attending and participating in trade shows, educational conferences, and seminars
  • Maintain clinical and technical expertise through ongoing product training
  • Prepare and submit reports to sales management with relevant data, projections, and market intelligence

What We're Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience: 5-7+ years of related sales experience; prior experience in the medical device industry strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales objectives in a territory management role
  • Strong relationship-building skills with physicians and hospital administrators
  • Clinical acumen and ability to discuss product differentiation in interventional cardiology procedures
  • Strategic thinking with ability to develop and execute territory business plans
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% within the assigned region
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Comfort with extended periods of driving, standing, and sitting as required by field-based responsibilities
