Global Controller

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential SaaS organization in their search for a Global Controller. This is a strategic leadership role where you'll serve as the financial compass during a period of rapid growth, owning the integrity of financial reporting and ensuring clear, actionable insights for executive decision-making.

This position is based in the United States, with preference for candidates in East Coast or Central time zones to facilitate collaboration with international teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage global accounting operations and financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to best practices
• Direct an international team of approximately 15 finance professionals and manage complex multi-entity statutory requirements across 14 global subsidiaries
• Drive improvements in financial processes, leveraging software and AI-driven tools to enhance efficiency and insight
• Ensure all financial transactions and reporting meet rigorous compliance standards for regulatory bodies, board members, banks, and investors
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, travel and expense, leases, commissions, corporate card programs, expense policy management, month-end close, and general ledger management
• Lead multi-currency, multi-jurisdiction financial consolidations and local statutory reporting for global subsidiaries
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and support operational objectives
• Implement and refine accounting policies and procedures to support company growth and operational scalability
• Mentor and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience
• Active CPA or CMA certification
• Big 4 public accounting experience
• Proven experience in a senior accounting leadership role within a growing technology or SaaS company

Technical Skills:

• Deep understanding of US GAAP
• Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
• Proven track record in multi-currency, multi-jurisdiction financial consolidations
• Strong grasp of regulatory compliance requirements for financial reporting
• Familiarity with modern accounting technologies and workflow automation (e.g., FloQast, Concur, Tipalti)

Leadership and Soft Skills:

• Exceptional communication skills for presenting complex financial data to executive leadership
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify trends and discrepancies
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proactive approach to identifying and addressing financial risks and opportunities
