Senior Consultant | Manager (m/w/d) – Operational Transformation in Energy, Utilities & Resources

Responsibilities

We are representing a global management consultancy focused on operational transformation within the energy and resources sector. As a Senior Consultant or Manager, you will drive complex transformation initiatives that combine process excellence, automation, and people-led change.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Engaging with clients from the earliest stages of business development, shaping propositions and presenting our capabilities during acquisition meetings
• Leading or supporting delivery of consulting projects focused on streamlining processes and improving operational efficiency across energy and utilities organizations
• Collaborating closely with clients to develop, coordinate, and implement sustainable improvements and new operating models
• Contributing to the continuous evolution of our operational excellence methodologies, techniques, and tools
• Supporting transformation programmes that integrate organizational design, agile methodologies, automation, and AI-driven solutions

What We're Looking For

We're seeking candidates who bring the following combination of experience and skills:

• At least 3 years of experience in management consulting or in an internal Operational Excellence, Process Excellence, or continuous improvement role
• Demonstrated experience in digitalization, automation, and Lean methodologies, with proven ability to apply these to drive business improvements
• Experience in process optimization within the energy sector, commodity trading environment, or related industries
• Exposure to transformation programmes, organizational change initiatives, reorganization projects, or change management activities
• Solid understanding of business process management, automation technologies, and the potential of AI to support continuous improvement
• Proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to take ownership and deliver outcomes in complex, client-focused environments
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills
• Advanced (C1) proficiency in both German and English, written and spoken

The role is based in Düsseldorf or Munich.
