Labor & Employee Relations Business Partner (EMEA) (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global industrial organization seeking a Labor & Employee Relations Business Partner to support their EMEA operations. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to lead sensitive investigations, partner strategically with business leaders, and shape employee relations across multiple countries.

Our client maintains operations across water safety, essential goods, and industrial applications. You will report to senior leadership and work independently on complex labor and employee relations matters while coaching HR teams throughout the region.

Responsibilities

• Lead highly complex and sensitive investigations into employee relations matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and policy violations
• Gather and analyze evidence, interview witnesses, and prepare detailed investigation reports
• Provide guidance and support to management on labor relations issues, including union organizing campaigns, contract negotiations, and grievance resolution
• Collaborate with business leaders and HR partners to understand unique challenges and opportunities within assigned business units
• Consult on potential restructure business cases and proposals to terminate roles across EMEA
• Provide training, coaching, and counseling to HR Business Partners
• Identify themes and trends from investigations and offer effective recommendations to resolve challenging employee relations matters

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• Significant experience in Employee Relations, Labor Relations, HR Business Partnering, or related HR roles
• Demonstrated track record of conducting complex investigations, influencing stakeholders, and delivering practical business solutions
• Thorough understanding of local employment laws and regulations across EMEA countries
• Experience working with labor unions and collective bargaining agreements
• Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity
• Fluency in English required; additional European language skills (particularly German or French) are advantageous
• Professional certifications such as CPID, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP are a plus
• Strong ability to work independently with guidance only in complex situations

Location: Fully remote within EMEA. Can be based in Germany, the United Kingdom, Poland, Spain, the Czech Republic, Italy, or other approved EMEA locations. Occasional travel within EMEA may be required.
