About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential client in the civic technology sector seeking a senior-level policy professional to develop complex public-sector scenarios and training materials. This fully remote contract role is open to candidates based in Australia and offers the opportunity to apply deep government expertise to innovative projects.
Responsibilities
- Construct realistic public-sector scenarios covering large-scale budget appropriations, multi-agency coordination, and complex regulatory or legislative review cycles at federal, state, and municipal levels
- Build comprehensive civic tasks spanning public policy analysis, constituent services delivery, intergovernmental relations, public communications, and regulatory compliance
- Develop public administration scenarios utilizing government ERP and case management systems, public records platforms, GIS systems, and constituent relationship management tools
- Apply public administration frameworks including policy impact analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and stakeholder engagement models to produce reference policy briefs, agency strategies, and executive/legislative communications
- Author assessment rubrics that distinguish authentic public-sector judgment from generic administrative responses
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years working in a senior capacity at a federal, state, or large municipal government agency, or within a major public policy, civic technology, or intergovernmental organization
- Direct ownership experience managing agency programs, public policy initiatives, or constituent-facing service delivery at scale
- Demonstrated fluency in government processes and tooling, with practical understanding of public budgets, procurement, legislative review, and regulatory compliance systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience authoring rubrics, public-sector training curriculum, or policy documentation
