Associate, Network Contracting & Services (Texas + West Region)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization in their search for an Associate, Network Contracting & Services to cover the Texas and West Region. This remote, field-based role combines strategic provider relationship management with hands-on contract negotiation to build and maintain a high-performing healthcare provider network.

Our client is seeking a professional who can balance analytical rigor with relationship-building skills to optimize network access, quality, and cost-effectiveness across their service area.

Responsibilities

• Implement contracting strategies in partnership with market leadership that align with network adequacy, development, and cost management objectives
• Manage and negotiate contracts with healthcare providers (hospital/health system and individual practitioners), focusing on favorable terms and regulatory compliance
• Serve as a subject matter expert to contracting specialists and analysts, providing guidance and fostering collaboration
• Conduct comprehensive reviews and analyses of provider contracts, identifying areas for improvement and optimization
• Utilize data and analytics of provider financial performance and competitor strategies to inform negotiation decisions
• Provide mentorship to junior team members through training, strategic guidance, and development opportunities
• Support implementation of contracting policies and workflows; identify opportunities for process improvement
• Meet defined metrics and SLAs including provider outreach targets and contract completion timelines
• Collaborate with provider services teams on network education, communication, and support initiatives
• Monitor assigned networks for compliance with standards and develop corrective action plans as needed

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in healthcare client management, healthcare consulting, provider contracting, healthcare operations, or related field
• 2+ years supporting provider network strategy development and negotiating provider contracts
• 1+ years running financial analyses on markets or product lines and working cross-functionally to drive improvement opportunities
• 1+ years navigating and organizing large data sets such as claim files and provider rosters
• Must reside in Arizona, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, or Virginia
• Comfortable with frequent local travel for provider meetings with occasional travel for team meetings

Preferred:

• Associate's degree or equivalent professional working experience
