About This Opportunity
Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential fintech organization expanding their engineering capabilities in Austria. We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to build native mobile experiences for a next-generation digital banking platform.
This is a remote position based in Austria. You'll be joining a global, distributed team working on customer-facing financial products used by real users across multiple markets.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship native Android features for core banking flows including onboarding, accounts, cards, payments, transfers, and rewards functionality
- Transform complex financial processes into simple, fast, and reliable mobile experiences
- Collaborate with product, design, backend, and engineering teams to deliver features from concept through production
- Own app quality metrics including performance, crash rate, loading states, edge cases, and release stability
- Leverage production feedback, analytics, and customer behavior data to continuously improve shipped features
- Integrate APIs, authentication systems, and secure data handling with strong attention to reliability and security
- Debug and resolve production issues while maintaining high standards for performance and user experience
What We're Looking For
- Strong native Android development experience using Kotlin
- Proven track record shipping Android applications to real users in production environments
- Solid understanding of Android architecture, Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow, and modern Android development practices
- Strong product sense and genuine care for user experience beyond simply implementing tickets
- Demonstrated ability to debug production issues and improve performance, reliability, and overall app quality
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and moving quickly in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality
- Career highlights showing you personally helped build, ship, or scale significant products or systems
- Strong English communication skills for collaboration across global teams
- Currently based in Austria with authorization to work in the country
