Web Developer – Contract – Immediate start

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential UK business services organization seeking a Web Developer for an immediate contract start. This hybrid role is based in Covent Garden and offers the chance to work on modern web applications supporting thousands of users across integrated digital platforms.

Our client is a certified B Corp with strong growth momentum and a commitment to building scalable technology that serves entrepreneurs and business owners throughout their company lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain web applications using HTML, JavaScript, and Node.js
• Develop and maintain single page applications (SPAs) with clean, modular, maintainable code
• Write front-end code that is performant, responsive, and cross-browser compatible
• Translate Figma designs into accurate, high-quality front-end code with pixel-level precision
• Work closely with designers to ensure visual and interaction details are faithfully implemented
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and product stakeholders to deliver features end-to-end
• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback
• Test and debug applications to ensure smooth, reliable user experiences
• Support ongoing maintenance, bug fixes, and incremental improvements across live applications
• Contribute to improving front-end tooling, workflows, and documentation

What We're Looking For

• Solid, hands-on experience as a Front End Web Developer building real web applications
• Strong working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, Next.js, and Node.js
• Experience with Payload CMS
• Proven experience implementing Figma designs into accurate, production-ready code
• Experience building single page applications (SPAs)
• Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• Comfortable working collaboratively with designers, developers, and non-technical stakeholders
• Methodical, detail-oriented approach to writing and testing code
• Strong communication skills and proactive, ownership-driven attitude
