Provider Engagement Professional – Behavioral Health

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential managed care organization in their search for a Provider Engagement Professional focused on Behavioral Health. This role serves as the critical link between healthcare providers and plan operations, building and maintaining relationships that ensure quality care delivery and positive provider experiences. You'll work directly with physical and behavioral health providers across Oklahoma, conducting training, resolving operational issues, and supporting network retention efforts.

This is a hybrid position requiring residency in Oklahoma, with significant travel (up to 50%) to provider locations throughout your designated region.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary relationship manager for physical and behavioral health providers in your assigned region
• Conduct regular in-person and virtual provider meetings for training, education, and policy updates
• Support new provider onboarding through comprehensive orientation sessions
• Respond to provider inquiries and coordinate resolution of issues related to claims payment, prior authorizations, and referrals
• Organize and facilitate Service Operating Committee meetings with providers to address operational, clinical, and quality topics
• Coordinate regional provider townhalls and training events
• Ensure compliance with managed care contractual requirements, including claims dispute resolution within specified timeframes
• Communicate policy updates and programmatic changes to provider network
• Collaborate with internal teams (claims, reimbursement, provider enrollment) to deliver exceptional provider experience

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of healthcare or managed care experience working with providers (provider relations, claims education, or similar)
• Strong understanding of claims systems, adjudication, submission processes, coding, and dispute resolution
• Must currently reside in Oklahoma
• Willing and able to travel frequently to provider sites and office locations (daily travel up to 50%)
• Ability to work from a dedicated home office space that protects member PHI/HIPAA information
• Internet connection meeting minimum 25 Mbps download/10 Mbps upload speeds

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience with Oklahoma Medicaid programs
• Experience working with behavioral health providers, facilities, and/or FQHCs
• Understanding of provider contracts and credentialing, including contract language and reimbursement structures
