(Senior) Managing Consultant – Data & Analytics (w/m/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential consulting firm in München seeking a senior-level Managing Consultant for Data & Analytics engagements. In this role, you will lead client projects from strategy through implementation, combining business requirements with modern data, analytics, and AI technologies.

• Lead and deliver client consulting engagements across the full Data & Analytics lifecycle, from strategic solution design through successful implementation
• Manage customer projects independently, including scope, quality, timeline, budget, and project team coordination
• Analyze business requirements, processes, and data to develop appropriate technical and functional solutions—from data platforms and warehouses to analytics and AI implementations
• Contribute hands-on to solution delivery, including data models, data pipelines, reports, visualizations, AI agents, and intelligent automation
• Facilitate client workshops and decision-making sessions, bridging business and technical perspectives to create viable solutions
• Build sustainable client relationships, identify new challenges, and develop follow-on consulting opportunities
• Deploy modern technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Power Platform, Azure, SQL, Snowflake, or Databricks in client projects
• Provide technical leadership and coaching to Consultants and Senior Consultants, supporting their professional development
• Contribute to the evolution of the Data & Analytics practice through best practices, methodologies, and support for presales activities

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Economics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or comparable field
• Several years of relevant professional experience in consulting or Data & Analytics roles
• Proven experience designing and implementing Data & Analytics solutions, connecting business requirements with technical solutions
• Experience leading and managing client projects successfully across scope, quality, time, and budget dimensions
• Strong client-facing presence with ability to lead workshops and meetings at executive level and build long-term relationships
• Solid knowledge of technologies such as SQL, Power BI, Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Data Engineering, Snowflake, or Databricks
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, and AI Agents; ideally with experience conceptualizing or implementing AI solutions in client projects
• Analytical, structured, and entrepreneurial thinking with ability to identify client opportunities and develop concrete solutions and follow-on business
• Experience and enjoyment in technical leadership and mentoring of consultants
• Strong initiative, communication skills, and hands-on mentality with ability to work on complex challenges
• Fluent German and good English language skills
• Moderate travel willingness
